Lamborghini Huracán Performante Takes Autocar Innovation Award 2017

The Huracán Performante has been awarded the Innovation Award by the UK’s Autocar magazine. The presentation was made to Board Member for Research and Development, Maurizio Reggiani, in an event at Silverstone circuit, which coincided with Lamborghini’s week-long dynamic launch of the car in Italy, to media worldwide.

Automobili Lamborghini continues development of its production site, announcing construction of a paint plant. The new building will be completed by the end of 2018 and will be used to paint the body of the Urus SUV, which is scheduled to arrive on the market next year.

Automobili Lamborghini Delivers A New Huracán Polizia To The Italian Police

Automobili Lamborghini has delivered a new Huracán Polizia, the police version of its Huracán super sports car, to the Italian Highway Patrol in Rome. The keys were handed over to Interior Minister, Senator Marco Minniti, at the Viminale building by Stefano Domenicali, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini. Also attending the ceremony was Chief of Police and General Director of Public Safety Franco Gabrielli.

In Fiscal Year 2016 (31.12.2016), Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. achieved new historic landmarks. The Italian super sports car brand from Sant’Agata Bolognese increased worldwide sales by seven per cent from 3,245 to 3,457 units. Thus, sales grew for the sixth consecutive year.

Automobili Lamborghini unveils the Huracán Performante at the Geneva Motor Show, combining new lightweight technologies, active aerodynamics with aero vectoring and a new set-up of chassis, all-wheel-drive system and further improved powertrain. The Huracán Performante is the result of Lamborghini innovations, producing a super sports car balanced between achieving the best lap times on a circuit with the most engaging and dynamic road driving. On 5 October 2016, the Huracán Performante set a new production car lap record of 6:52.01 min on the Nürburgring Nordschleife in Germany.

Lamborghini Accademia season starts with a richer program than ever. Automobili Lamborghini’s driving school, managed by its motorsport division Squadra Corse, has created its annual series of courses for all those who are passionate about safe and sporty driving. Programs include the ice environment of the Winter Accademia in Livigno, which marks the debut of the new Aventador S among the fleet of vehicles available to participants. On asphalt, courses take place at the most famous international circuits, including Spa-Francorchamps, Mugello, and Yas Marina where the Lamborghini Accademia will be hosted for the first time. Last but not least, the new “Collaudatore Lamborghini” course in Nardó is offered to those who want to refine their driving abilities in a test driver’s environment.

The Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 achieved an important milestone in its history, with 5.000 units produced. The Roadster Rosso Bia car, chassis number 5,000, rolled off the assembly line destined for the Italian market.
