Lamborghini Super Trofeo Champions Crowned In Imola

All the titles still in play were assigned during the sixth and last round of the three continental series of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo 2017. At the Imola circuit, which will be also hosting the Lamborghini World Final starting tomorrow, the duo of Antonelli Motorsport, formed by Loris Spinelli and Mikaël Grenier, was crowned European champion in the PRO class. The two drivers ended the season scoring their sixth victory, after Raphael Abbate and Yuki Nemoto (VS Racing) had taken their first win in Race 1. In the same class, instead, Riccardo Agostini and the American Trent Hindman dominated both races with the car of Prestige Performance and won the title in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America. In the Asia series, Kei Cozzolino and Afiq Yazid scored a double success, after they had already mathematically conquered the PRO title during the previous round at Shanghai.

The Imola circuit is preparing to host the Lamborghini World Final, whose fifth edition is scheduled on November 16 to 19. The most important event of the Lamborghini one-make series will be returning to Italy. After Vallelunga, Sepang (Malaysia), Sebring (Florida, USA) and Valencia (Spain), the historic circuit of Imola will be hosting all the international protagonists of the one-make series for Huracán Super Trofeos, in an extraordinary context and at the end of a particularly intense week.

The Lamborghini Huracán GT3 has won in the International GT Open for the second time in a row. After getting the 2016 title of the European series with Orange 1 Team Lazarus, this year is the turn of Imperiale Racing: on the Barcelona circuit, which hosted the last round of the series, the Emilian team put the seal on the 2017 title with the car #63, whose cockpit was shared by the Factory Drivers of Lamborghini Squadra Corse Marco Mapelli and Giovanni Venturini, with the latter leading the championship standings.
